SOUTH AFRICA THREE RIVERS Armed robbery turned into a High speed chase/SHOOT OUT On Saturday 30/11/2024 at +-16:25pm a panic came from a business in Three Rivers armed reaction was dispatched.
On arrival armed reaction notice a white Toyota Corolla sitting against the wall of the business with one bravo male sitting in the driver seat. Keeping an eye on the driver of the vehicle he walked past towards the door. Walking up to the door one bravo male was standing at the door with the businesses clothing, Armed reaction being asked to go inside he kept on refusing to enter the business. The bravo male at the door grabbed his hand trying to reach for the weapon walking back away from the door of the business the suspect shot at the armed reaction in the hand but kept trying to reach for the weapon. Armed reaction officer returned fire as he was out numbered while trying to find cover he was shot again this time in the back (bullet proof vest stopping the bullet)trying to find cover the armed reaction called for back up while trying to get away from the bullets being fired by the armed robbers. One reaction vehicle was close by when 10:9 was called over the radio Control room confirmed with him the location where back up was needed. When the armed reaction arrived he noticed that the armed reaction officer that called for back was shooting back towards the suspects climbing into a white Toyota Corolla and speeding away to leave the scene. A chase was needed to catch up to the white Toyota to try get a number plate for other vehicles that are on the way. High speed chase was now in the quiet streets of Three Rivers. Suspects did not think twice of how they were getting away and how many stop streets and red robots they did not stop for or slow down, putting innocent peoples lives at risk. Armed reaction was on the route to Three Rivers to give backup when he heard that the suspects was heading towards him Standing still at one robot to insure the suspects don’t get away. Suspects drove into oncoming traffic with the robot being red for the suspects. The vehicle did not show any signs of slowing down hitting a motor vehicle(yellow Renault clio) stopped the suspects in there escape. With 4 armed reaction vehicles around them they could not figure out where to run to escape. The driver and the back right passenger jump out from the motor vehicle and started running away from the scene 2 suspects could not escape and laid down on the ground. Armed reaction kept on chasing the other 2 suspects that ran with one giving up when one armed reaction was close to him. All suspects in custody, 2 arrested and taken by saps, 2 in hospital under saps watch and vehicle booked into SAP13 and colleague taken to hospital.
